Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Reception Year: 2018 - 2019

Today we visited our garden to collect different herbs, we collected mint leaves and chive. We then went over to forest school to boil the mint leaves to make, mint and honey tea. We used the chive to make, cheese and chive bread. The children absolutely loved this activity and enjoyed discussing the different methods of cooking; boiling and frying. 

Our favourite part was of course... marshmallows and biscuits!!
